Thanksgiving, Advent and me just being me.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. All my American followers, that is. :) All you that don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope your Thursday was pleasant all the same.

Thanksgiving is just a fun, cozy sort of holiday. I mean, food, music, family, (not necessarily in that order) make for a very enjoyable day. Here's a little peek at our day.

No. We weren't even having a funny face competition.
We just do it by accident. And capture it forever on film.
And then I blog about it.

And then the clean-up.
Because "all magic comes with a price. "
We actually have a pretty good time, even with clean-up. We're all fed and happy and usually we start singing. Loudly and passionately. We are Italian. :) Plus, once we finish cleaning, there's dessert, coffee, and a movie so we are properly motivated.

Today is the first Sunday of Advent. I always love Advent. Now I feel like I can start really looking forward to Christmas! I try to hold off on the whole Christmas music thing until St. Nicholas' feast day on December 6th. But usually a few Christmas songs sneak their way in before that.

I might do some of this challenge.
Don't worry. I'm not going to make you look at my photography every day again. I'm just going to use the list to get some picture ideas. Some of them are pretty fun. The good pictures I might post. We'll see.

I'm in a really happy mood today. You know when you just feel completely happy inside for no apparent reason? The whole world is beautiful you love everybody? That's me right now.

And one last thing. I really wish season 7 of Psych would make it to netflix already! I want to watch those again quite a lot. A lot, a lot.
I don't know if any of you are Psych fans.  (Well, I don know a few of you are.) but season eight is doing something epic.

Psych the Musical!

And here I am. Still stuck on season 7. *Sigh*
I guess it's nice to have something to look forward to.
I'm going to have to wait a long time.

Right, well. You all have a lovely Sunday. I am going to grab my book, and settle down for a nice long read.

God Bless!

This post is a thing...Respect the thing!

Hey there, everyone! How's it going? I've been AWOL and quite enjoying it. It's nice to go AWOL sometimes, when you know there wont be a firing squad waiting for you when you get back.

Er...None of you are armed, right?

Because that would be awkward.

So today you're getting some randomness as I settle back into blogging again more frequently. Aren't you excited?

Random fact number one:
My friend was able to come up for a long-ish weekend visit which was simply marvelous. I hadn't seen her in over a year and that's a sad thing. So we had loads of fun, eating, talking and watching TV shows. It was relaxing and awesome. Everything is a lot more fun when  she's around. The weirdness gets doubled.

Random fact number two:
I am making chicken soup right now and it smells amazing. Seriously amazing. *Drools* Um...you probably don't really care about my soup...

Random fact number three:
I've been watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and I am really enjoying it thus far. Coulson is so cool and the whole team is pretty awesome. It took a few episodes before I decided that I liked them all. But I do. I like them all.

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, here ya go. :)

Random fact number four:
I am super excited about Thanksgiving. Who doesn't love a holiday? Especially one that involves turkey and mashed potatoes and cranberries. :) I know a lot of people don't like all the cooking and baking that goes into the Thanksgiving dinner, but I actually do. It's fun.

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving?

Random fact number five.
My Uncle, who happens to be a priest, told me this quote and it keeps popping into my head. I love it.

"God loves man so much, the angles are amazed."

Now I'm off to stir my simmering soup and add the finishing touches to it. *Drools*

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
God Bless

I ramble.

Hello. How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I had a lovely day.

I made sweet potato pie.

There was a bout of fencing in the backyard with my sisters. And a tiny bit of boxing. We believe in arousing an appetite, you see.
NOTE TO SELF: It's been far to long since I've done any fencing and I'm ruddy awful at it! Time to start practicing again. *Nods* Getting killed is unpleasant.

There was dinner. It was so delightful I shall not put you through a remembrance. I wouldn't want you to drool on your laptop.

There was coffee and chocolate pudding pie while watching Second Hand Lions. We were going to watch Holiday Inn. It's sort of a tradition in my family and I was really looking forward to it, but our VHS tape is old and the movie wouldn't play. *Sniff*

There was talking and lots of coffee all evening.

Then, after sneaking in a word count back at my little apartment/cabin, my sister and I stayed up WAY too late and watched Holiday Inn on youtube. *smirk*

Thanksgiving was successful.

I cannot wait for this movie! It is going to be ever so fantastic.
I've been watching every clip I can get my hands on... obsessively. Martin Freeman might be the best hobbit ever. *Squeeee!*

Okay, maybe not best ever. I paused for a second and took a look at the Hobbits from Lord of the rings.
What's not to love?

Martin Freeman does makes a perfect hobbit, though.

I am SO EXCITED! It looks so good. :D I'm trying to decided of I want to re-read the book before the movie comes out. I read it a few months ago, but I'm all in the mood for it now. I shall have to come up with a Hobbit inspired outfit too. I like to do weird stuff like that. I will wear shoes.

Did all you people have a wonderful Thanksgiving? Did you do anything special? Do you have some cool traditions?

Is anyone else as absurdly excited about the Hobbit as I am?

God Bless!
