Simply Saturday

Hello, all! Does anyone else love Saturdays as much as I do? I love Saturdays with so much love, you guys!

Well, at least the Saturdays that I don't have to work. But you know, even those Saturdays that I do have to work, are not too bad. It's still the weekend and for some reason, weekends are just awesome.

Today was a lovely Saturday. I cleaned everything while listening to music and singing rather vigorously. I love that 'everything is clean' feeling. It's awesome. I love the smell of lemon-y wood polish and vanilla candles. It makes the house seem so fresh.

I watched 'The Magic of Ordinary Days' (For the first time!) while I painted my nails.

That is such an adorable movie! If you haven't seen it, you really must. It gives you the warm-fuzzies. ;)

It's one of the best movies I've watched in a long time. The story was just so good! Not to mention how adorable the clothes were. I think the 1940's had some of the cutest clothes.

Here. Le Trailer.

Then there was more music, getting dinner going, making cookies and even more music. *Sigh* Pretty lovely, no?

There's nothing like puttering around the house all day, warbling away at the top of your voice anything from;

"The Phaaaaaaan-tom of the Op-er-ah is there!
Inside your miiiind!"
to
"I could have DAAAANCED all niiiight,
I could have daaaanced aaaaall niiiight!,"
to

"Ooooo-ooo, Remember when it rained...in the darkness I remain.
Running down. Running down. RUNNING DOOOOOOOOOOWN!"

I sometimes feel bad for my neighbors. I honestly wonder just how much noise from my house can be heard by other people. But I'm glad I don't know. *Grin*

Anyway, I thought I'd go ahead and show some of the doodles I've done lately.
Doodles are fun.

I like the cloths in this one...and nothing else really. :)

This one is my favorite.

Well, that's all from me. What's new with all you?

I think I'm going to go grab my book, make some tea, and spend the rest of my evening reading. Seems like a good plan.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
God Bless!

Saturday Style...among other things

Happy Saturday, all you all!

Oh, and hello, my newest followers and welcome. I am so happy to have you! If you weren't an internet away I'd offer you coffee and chocolate...but since you are, we'll just have to pretend.

I went all-out and did a cappuccino. *Smile*

So... I was going to do a movie review.

And then I considered doing a book review.

But I just wasn't up to either of those things and I decided to do a picture-inundated post instead.

Give me some slack, I was busy cleaning and reading! It's Saturday. ;)

Saturday Style

I wore my hair 'Heidi style' today. I don't do it very often, and I'm not sure why. It's comfortable, and cute. Even if I do say so myself! Lol.

I didn't bother doing a tutorial for this one. It's pretty simple. Just put your hair in two braids and, if you're hair is long enough, wrap each braid all the way around your head and pin in place. If your hair is shorter, just wrap the braids over the top of your head. Add flowers if you want to. Flowers are the best hair accessory! I love flowers.

Speaking of flowers...
It is officially SPRING now.

The weather has been so beautiful here this last week. I love being able to throw open the windows  and have that wonderfully clean air come pouring in!

After all my cleaning, I had a little tea party outside.

I got a Easter package in the mail from my best friend.

Isn't that scarf lovely? I can't wait to wear it. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the necklace is a wonderfully dark blue. Blue and orange really compliment each other. And I now have a perfect little book-box. It was a very nice pressy, don't you think? It certainly made my day.

That's it for now, but I do have some fun post planned for next week and I will hopefully produce something a little more substantial. But for now I'll just leave you with a song.

Check it out...there is water on the stage. How cool is that?

God Bless!

That sort of day.

It's the sort of day where spring fever begins to sneak in.

Where the sun is so delightfully warm and the sky so strikingly blue that it gets under you skin and makes you want to burst into song.

It's the type of day where all that clutter that's been gradually pilling up around the house is finally cleared off and put away.

Spring cleaning, people. It's satisfying. :)

It's the sort of day where the birds and squirrels seem happy to be alive and you can smell the earth warming up.

The type of day that isn't rushed and makes you feel content---and a little bit crafty. Because, after all, Easter isn't that far away.

All that being said, I am not a fan of daylight savings time. Sure, it's nice to have the added light in the evening, but it's hard for me to adjust to this one.

I find myself wide away in the middle of the night and then it's suddenly morning... before it should be. *Sigh*

Yep.

Just when my mornings had finally gotten nice and bright. *Snark.*

What about you all? Do you find daylight savings time a good thing? Or an unspeakable evil.

Remember, it's for posterity, so be honest.  :D

And now, a song.

God Bless!
