Anyway. Here we are.
And it's cold.
Squinting hard at the dark, brooding clouds outside though, I believe we might get some rain. Which is actually a silver lining because we have so much pollen right now. It is icky. The air is green.
What with the clouds and the cold and the smell of rain, this song just seems the logical choice.
I love this song. It's one that my Daddy listened to a lot when I was little. It just reminds me a lot of those days.
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair
For her to steal my heart away when she don't care
I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so
Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow
Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
Do any of you like some of the oldies songs? I'm rather picky with them, but the ones I do like, I really like. I'm not sure if it's just the memories attached to them or the actual music.
I'm thinking about doing an Oldies Song of the Week for a little while. Just till I'm out of my favorite oldies. :) Switch things up a bit.
Yes or no?
God Bless!
Amy
I like this song. I had forgotten about it for a while, but I used to listen to it ALL the time.
ReplyDeleteAnd yep, I do like oldies songs. A lot. Right now especially the Andrews Sisters.
I love that song. It's a good song!
