I enjoy a good musical. Singing+Acting+Dancing = SERIOUSLY COOL!
I recently watched 'Oklahoma,' the stage version with Hugh Jackman. Did any of you know that Hugh Jackman can sing and dance? Like REALLY sing and dance? It's pure awesomeness. *Happy sigh.* Just watch how awesome he is in the very first scene. He looks so incredibly natural as he sings his heart out. LOVE IT! (Besides. It's Hugh Jackman.) Seriously, even if you are a musical hater, watch this one. It's brilliantly done and all the acting, singing, and dancing is first class. It makes me, the shy, inhibited girl, desperately want to take acting and dancing. (I've got singing down. LOL. )I'd love to be in a musical!
Watching Oklahoma has put me in the mood for musicals. Like "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." If you've never seen it, you should! It's super cute. Check out this song. Really, this musical is one of the best.
And one of my personal favorites is "The Happiest Millionaire." So much fun!
And on a different note, look at "Newsies." This one stars a young Christian Bale. What's more, it's a young Christian Bale playing a newsboy...leading a strike. It's fun. There's nothing like a group of singing-dancing boys to make a girl pretty delighted. :-)
I hope you enjoyed that. I was getting myself pretty worked up over choosing what songs to use. LOL. I mean, there are so many fantastic ones! How to choose? Musicals make my happy.

And I really, really want to see "Newsies"! Because I sorta love Christian Bale. ;) Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a copy of the film yet, but hopefully I will soon.

Tasha, "Newsies" is really fun. I hope you can find it! (We just bought it on amazon. lol.) I actually didn't care too much for Christian Bale before I saw it. After watching it, I was pretty much sold on him.
