A whole lot of nothing.

The hardest part of writing a blog post is figuring out how to start it. Now that I've got the first sentence down, the rest of this post should be a breeze!

*Stares at ceiling.*

*Stares at floor*

*Phantom-types on the keyboard*

*Head-desk. Head-desk. Head-desk!*

Alright fine! I am struggling with this one!

Can you believe it's already June 11th? What the heck? My 2014 bucket list is staring me in the eyes accusingly and I'm just shrugging my shoulders like, "I know, right?"

But hey, summer's here and it's lovely. Check out these gorgeous flowers that grow in my yard. Don't they remind you of something from Tangled?

*Warbles, "Flower, gleam and glooow. Let your power...shiiiiine!*

What's new with me? Oh, you know, this and that. Mostly nothing with a little bit of something here and there.

I found a slow motion setting on my camera. This has given me quite a lot of fun over the last few weeks. Slow motion can make anything look pretty cool.

I love blowing the fluff off of dandelions.  Makes me feel like this:

The best part of summer is being outside. I've been outside less this summer than I'd want to be, but I've managed to squeeze in some nice outside days here and there. ;)

There are a few things I've been keeping my eyes on that I'd very much like to buy for this summer.

Like this nerf gun.

I want to throw a big ol' picnic /party in the middle of nowhere. I want to set up an obstacle course and play an epic version of capture the flag. And I want to shoot people with nerf guns. And then I want to eat sandwiches and drink ice tea.  Who's with me?

These hairsticks. Because they are beautiful!

This shirt.

I have been wanting one since the first Captain America movie came out. I should buy it. I might buy it.....
I will buy it! *Mwahahahahaha!*

And that pretty much concludes the story of my life up to date. Just one thrilling thing after another! lol.

Anyway. Cherio, my good people.

God Bless

One of those random posts.

I am reading a book called, "The Prisoner of Cell 25" and I am rather disappointed with it. The idea is brilliant, but I don't care for the characters very much and it's dragging right in the middle.
I might not finish it. I think the most important thing about any story is whether the characters are good or not. If I love the characters, even if the story is lame, I will still finish it. But if I don't like the characters, no mater how awesome the plot is, I get bored.

I made tons of cookies last weekend and my sisters and I had fun decorating them. I love sugar cookies but I don't make them very often because most recipes need the dough to chill for at least an hour and I'm the sort of person that hates to wait for my cookie dough to chill. :D But I bit the bullet and did it.
They were very yummy.

I used this recipe for the cookies.
And this one for the frosting.

I am really adicted to the TV show, "White Collar" right now.

Peter Burke is the best.

(I feel the need to mention that this show is usually very clean, but every now and then they through in some innuendo and not-so-good-stuff so just be cautions if you decide to watch them.)

I found this video pretty cool.

I've loved the idea of hairstick-daggers for quite a long time but I don't think people actually make them. I wonder why that is?
This isn't a hairstick but it is a dagger. How cool is that? I don't usually wear barrettes, but I'd make an exception for this. You can buy it HERE. It's lovely.

Isn't this song just beautiful?

Saturday Style

Well, it's nothing fancy, but I had my hair trimmed last night and it looked pretty today so I left it down. When I say trimmed, I mean about an inch of hair...maybe. I like to get my hair trimmed fairly often. But tiny, tiny clips at a time. That way the ends stay healthy and I don't have to suffer the feeling of extreme loss. :) Most people don't believe me, but I honesty can see and feel the difference even when I only lose an inch of hair. I am very in-tune with my hair. It's sorta pathetic, really. Anyhow, never mind..

What I did, was simply do two french braids on the top and then braid them all the way down. And when I want the hair to stay back, I just slip on my handy-dandy flexi-8 clip.

I love flexi-8's. I have a wee collection of my very own ranging in size from 'mega' to 'x-small.' I'll show you them all some time. They are the only hair accessories I own that I simply can't seem to break! LOL. They are very awesome.

I like wearing my hair down sometimes. It makes me feel like this.
Or maybe this.
And sometimes even like this.

There's nothing like looking at pictures of the ladies from Lord of the Rings to make you decide that long hair is the best. LOL.

And for a touch of randomness. Because I really like randomness. Here are a few quotes from G.K. Chesterton.

"Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese."

"Religious liberty might be supposed to mean that everybody is free to discuss religion. In practice it means that hardly anybody is allowed to mention it."

"It (Feminism) is mixed up with a muddled idea that women are free when they serve their employer but slaves when they help their husbands."

G.K. Chesterton was a very clever man. :)

And a thought for the night. Does a insomniac, dyslexic atheist lay awake at night wondering if there is a Dog?

Oh.  I really love this song. I think it's my favorite Taylor Swift music video. It's so cute! And I always, always tear up at the end. *Sniff.*

God Bless!
