In which I do the Liebster Blog Award...Again

Hello, everyone!

"The Liebster blog award," she muttered darkly. "The re-occurring award to make you delve deep into your memories and emotions so as to let the world know who you really are!"

................Oh wait.

This one doesn't do that!

Can I hear a Hallelujah?

Do I hear an Amen?

Per usualy, there are rules. But you know what?

So there.

Here are the rules, if I were going to follow them.

1.)Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you. (Okay, fine. That was Treskie)

2.)Answer the eleven question that the blogger gives you (Yes, I will do that)

3.)Give eleven random facts about yourself (Oh look, it does ask for some serious soul-searching. And no. I will not)

4.)Nominate eleven other bloggers and let them know (That's presuming I actually know eleven other bloggers. I may follow more than eleven, but I only comment on, like...four? Maybe six. And odds are good they've already been nominated. So...)

5.)Make eleven questions for them to answer (This one sounds fun so why the heck not?)

Now that I have that out of the way, let's get down to business. But no, I shall not be defeating any Huns in this post. So stay calm and put down the staff.

1.) Will you join me in my quest to destroy all the things?

2.) Wizards or witches?
Gandalf looks quite shocked that you'd even ask such a question.
Though I'm not sure if this question just means my preference, in which case, see above. Or if it means what I relate to more. Also see above.
Though there was a little 4'10", ginger haired witch in a book called "Dealing with Dragons" that I quite related to. She was awesome. Enough said.

3.) Are sweet dreams made of these or are you one to disagree?
"I didn't know you couldn't sing." (Kudos if you get that reference.)

4.) Have you ever heard of Ninjago? (Apparently it's lego. I have yet to see it.)

5.) Do you collect sporks?
I detest sporks.

6.) What were your favorite toys as a kid?
I am trying really hard to resist the urge to launch myself into a eulogy about my favorite toy. It's a tragic story.
Suffice it to say, I had a fabulous cloth doll made for me by my Mummy. We were bffs. I'm not even exaggerating a little.
Then, after years of love and happiness, she disappeared off the face of the planet, never to be seen again.
It was a dark time for me.

7.) If you had a choice, would you hang out with Frodo or Merry?
I am sorry to say I think I'm more in the same class as Merry. Don't get me wrong, Frodo is the bomb-diggety, but Merry seems to keep a constant supply of apples. And he steals fireworks. And raids the food storage place at Isengard. Yet he still manages to find time to be brave. I aspire to be like Merry.

8.) In your opinion are ticks worse than spiders?
Oh let me think. One lurks in the shadows, makes webs, and crawls unexpectedly out of my drain, and one sneaks up on me, latches onto my skin, drinks my blood,  and swells up to grotesque proportions.
I'm gonna have to go with tick.

Ticks are evil.

Bad, bad ticks.

9.) Sherlock meets Shawn Spencer, what is the first thing he would deduct?
"You are immature, brash and have an unhealthy desire for attention. You do not own your own home, or even your own car. You're terrified of commitment, have very little regard for authority, and hide your emotions with rather poor attempts at humor. I'd say you're an idiot, but since you've manage to hold down a job as a Psych Detective, I'd have to go with the opinion that it's the general, gullible public that are idiots and you are a simply a gifted lair."

I have no idea how he deducted all that, but I'm tired and that spiel came gushing forth and so it will remain.

10.) Can you list the fifty states?
*Inhales deep breath and begins to sing* Alabama, and Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and more. Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana Iowa, only 36 more to go! Next New Hampshire and New Jersey, now way down Mexico, there's New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, now let's see, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee. Texas and there's Utah, Vermont, I'm almost through! Virginia and there's Washington and West Virginia, too! Could Wisconsin be the last state or is it 49? No, Wyoming is the last state of the fifty states that rhyme.

You asked.

11.) What is your opinion on blue inked pens? Yea or nay?

Being master and commander of this ship, I hereby nominate:

Your Challenge, should you choose to except it,is as follows.

1.) How do you feel about pool noodles?
2.) Forest or Ocean?
3.) On a scale of 1-10, how adorable do you think Camels are?
4.) Would you ride a camel? Keeping in mind that they spit.
5.) Batman or Captain America?(Don't worry, I don't judge... Okay, I do, but I'll be kind.)
6.) Bananas or Pineapples?
7.) How well can you chop an onion?
8.) Given a choice between jogging 5 miles or doing boxing for 20 minutes, what would you do?
9.) What was your favorite picture book as a very young child.
10.) On a scale of 1-10, just how good are your reflexes?
11.) Are you a morning person or should others be afraid for their lives if they bother you before you've had your coffee?

I'm looking forward to see all y'all answers!

Farewell, my friends!

Goodnight and God bless!

Christmas Tag!

Good to my word, I'm back! You didn't think I was gonna do it, did you? Well, that's what you get for being a doubting Thomas. *Smirk*

I got a very unexpected afternoon off yesterday.
We had wind. Impressive, I-do-what-I-want wind.
It knocked the power out of most of the town and thus, I got to leave work three hours early.

It was Da Bomb.

And since there was no power most places, my sister also got off early from her job. So we took full advantage of this freedom and put up our Christmas tree which we've been wanting to put up but haven't had time to do.

Amazingly, our little house still had power! Yay for us!

It was quite possibly the nicest day I've had in a months.

`This is also the fourth tree I've decorated this year!

I did two at my job, helped with my parents, and finally got around to my own. And you know what? They've all been fun!

Okay. A tag from Bella. A tag especially designed by Bella. Bella's tag.

That tag.

The Rules are: *Drum roll please*

1.) Link back to the person who tagged you----Bella!

2.) Answer the Questions

3.)Tag five (or more) people.----Not gonna happen! lol.

1.) When does the Christmas season officially 'start' in your house?
I tend to split hairs over this question. The Advent season starts four weeks before Christmas and right around the 6-8th of December is when some decorations start to sneak in and Christmas music begins to take over.

2.) What is your earliest memory of Christmas?
Getting up at some ridiculous hour on Christmas morning (Like...2am) to watch the Christmas tree blink.
That sounded kind of creepy.
All us kid would wake up and move out to the living room with a pile of blankets and spend most of the night dozing on and off on the couch. There was always Christmas music playing gently in the background, and the only thing lighting the house was the tree. It was so beautifully magical and peaceful.

3.) What is something that is iconic-ally Christmas for you or your family?
A mad-house of cooking and baking on Christmas Eve. Seriously, stuff gets real on Christmas Eve! Everybody has one or two cookie/something-sweet recipes that they're working on, not to mention all the prep-work for our Christmas dinner.
The house smells Ah-Maz-Ing.

4.) What are some of your Christmas Traditions?
There are really too many to talk about. *Eyeballs list of traditions*

5.) What is one of the traditions that you want to carry on even after you're married?
This is going to start off sounding really depressing, but it isn't.
My Grandpa died very near Christmas when I was just a baby, so Mom and baby-me weren't home for Christmas that year.
So Dad had everyone save a present for the Epiphany so that Mom could still have a 'little Christmas' with the family.
And we've done that every year since. It's my favorite of the traditions we have.

6.) What if your favorite thing when preparing for Christmas? The Baking, decorating or cleaning?
I'd have to say....All of the above. Is that an answer? They go hand in hand...in hand.

7.) What is a special/unique Christmas memory?
When I was six years old, my Mummy made me a beautiful cloth doll. For whatever reason, that doll became my bff. I kid you not. Ask any of my sisters. My doll and I were tight. She was probably the best present I ever received.

9.) What are some of your favorite Christmas cartoons?
I love Mickey's Christmas Carol. In fact, that might be my favorite version of the Christmas Carol.
The Grinch...just because.
The First Christmas, which is an adorable puppet cartoon about a little shepherd boy that goes blind...But it has a beautiful, happy ending.

11.) Do you have a real Christmas tree or an artificial tree?
It's a fake. *le sigh*....I really love real trees,so this is a source of a little sadness for me. But not too much. It's a nice little tree and it doesn't shed needles.

12.) Do you have a favorite Christmas book/story?
Several, actually. There's a book called, The Long Winter, which is a collection of short stories that I read every Christmas. It's awesome.
I LOVE The Gift of the Magi. It's a wonderful story that makes me cry the happiest of tears. :) If you're going to read it, try to find the version illustrated by P.J. Lynch.
I mean, look at his illustrations!

13.) What is your favorite Christmas song?
*Muses long and hard.* That question is pretty much impossible. I have more 'favorite' Christmas songs than my family has traditions!
But this version of Angels we have Heard on High was just released on youtube and it's awesome! The live nativity at the end of the video broke the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest ever! Which sort of gives me chills. :) It's gorgeous!

All done.

I'm quite done-in from all those question! Time for Doctor Who Christmas Special, I think.

Good night and God Bless!

In which I do stuff.

Hello.

It's been over a week since my last post.

I feel ashamed.

But I have news!

1.) It's coming on Christmas...They're cutting down treeeeees! They're putting up Reindeer and singing songs of Joy and Peeeace!.....I wish I had a river.....
No. Sorry. Got a bit carried away there.
I simply meant, Christmas is coming and I have been shopping (and I really need to start wrapping!) and  work is busy with Christmas-y floral arrangements. And thus far I've decorated three Christmas Trees and I will be soon decorating a fourth. So I haven't had time to blog.

2.) My boss has decided to get me the education to be a real floral designer, so I have now found myself enrolled in an online design class. Which I can complete in as little as six months.
And as awesome and terrifying as that is, I have even less time now than before. So.....

3.) In my free time, instead of blogging or wrapping presents, I've been watching Flashpoint. And you guys should watch that show! So so good. I've got five episodes left. Which makes me very sad. Five seasons of awesome, and I'm almost done! *Weeps*

I will probably do a real review of that show sometime soon. Soon-ish. January-ish?

4.) I am reading Raven Boys and I love them. I'm only on book two, but I'm having trouble putting it down. Which is a bad thing because of aforementioned business. *Le sigh*

Whatever.

I have a couple of tags, so I shall do one of them today.

I was nominated by Hilda to do Five Fictional Places I'd like to visit.

1.) Middle Earth.
All of it. Why doesn't Gandalf show up at my place and hustle me off on an adventure? ......Scratch that. I have a fair idea why. And I don't like it.
I would love to consider myself a good fit for Rohan. But I think we all know I'd be a hobbit. Family, Food and comfort.

2.) Redwall.
I'm not exaggerating one tiny bit when I say I was obsessed with all of the Redwall books. I lived in Mossflower Woods for a good three years of my life.
It was my first and probably most consuming  fandom.

3.) Eddis. From the UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME ATTOLIA SERIES!
Reason number one--Eugenides. He is wonderful and amazing and I'd like to meet him. He is my favorite fictional character right now. *Grin* I luf him.
Reason number two. The land sounds beautiful, full of hills and olive trees and ocean and cliffs.
Reason number three. It reminds me of ancient Greece.

4.) Ingary--Which is where Howl is from. You know,  Howl's Moving Castle.

I feel like a terrible person! This is hard for me!....The first three came like, BAM!  Four took a little though and five is....really hard.

5.) AH! Asgard! I'd totally visit Asgard. Sign me up for that!

Right. I'm off.

I have some pictures to post and that sort of thing, so I PROMISE I shall return soon. Tomorrow, most likely.

Take care, you all!

Tag. I'm it!

In which I tackle three tags in one epic, hilarious, brilliant post! Also known as, "This post is going to be tremendously long."

Over the last month and a half-ish, I've been nominated by Bella, Rose and Ivy Miranda for some blog awards. I shall proceed to accept them in that order.
Let it be known that I actually enjoy me some blog awards from time to time. It makes me happy inside.
Sometimes, though, I find tags very challenging. Not right now, thankfully. But sometimes.
Right now I'm totally in the mood to do these tags! I guess it depends on my mood and my coffee intake.
For instance, as I sit here typing away, I'm drinking coffee, eating some banana nut, oatmeal muffin/cookie/bread things that I whipped up and smiling happily at the prospect of tackling the forthcoming questions in a witty and interesting way. Coffee can be such an amazing motivator. After a few cups my fingers are pretty much moving by themselves anyway and my mind is excited about everything.
Like so.
BoyyouguysareinforsuchacrazypostIcan'tbelieveyou'restillreadingandthislineandhonestlyI'mimpressedthatyou'vemadeitthisfar!Tagsaresodelightful.Ifeelsoverymotivatedtodothisthing!Hurrahfortags!

At which point it's a good idea to stop drinking coffee and calm the heck down.

Anyway, I shall start.

Oh yes. I forgot to mention, since I'm feeling like a rebel today, I am going to ignore the rules to these tags! Rules...who needs rules? I'm tired of following the rules! I want to be FREEEEEE!
Also I don't really have any other bloggers to nominate, but that sounds a bit sad and loner-ish. So let's stick with the rebel version, eh?

First off, the Liebster Award.

Bella's Questions.

1.)Would you consider yourself a geek or a nerd?
I'm a little bit of a Geek and a tiny bit of a nerd. I wish I were a bit more of nerd. Nerds are smarter.
As it is, I'm mostly subtly geeky.

2.)Do you know when National Pie Day is?
I do not.
Nor do I care.

3.)What is the first thing you think when you see salt?
Pepper.
Because I'm a rebel.
White?
BLACK.

4.)Do you spend most of your time inside or outside?
Unfortunately I'm inside a lot. That's one of the rubbish things about growing up and having a 'life'. I put quotations around 'life' so that you realize that I mean no life when I say 'life'. It's like a code.

5.)Range Rover or Land Rover?
I think I'd be more inclined to buy a Range Rover. One of the older models. They were cooler.

6.)Did you know they are making a sequel to The Incredibles?
I did! Not that I stalk Pixar or anything. That would be silly.

7.) Do you like Raisin cookies?
Please. Everyone knows that raisin cookies are like little traitorous spy cookies.  They infiltrate under the pretext of being a chocolate chip. And they turn on you. Then you're stuck chewing that little traitor. That evil not chocolate chip.
"Well played, raisins. Well played."

8.)Do you own more than ten CD's?
I do. CD's are my favorite thing to buy!
But mostly I wait around for birthdays and Christmas and make a point of sending subtle emails to my family with my Music and Books That I Don't Own Yet list.

9.)What does it mean to have cat-like tread?
It means, "No sound at all, we never speak a word. A flies footfall would be distinctly heard!" Nods knowingly.

10.)Have you read The Hunger Games?
The first one. I read it in one bug-eyed sitting, and then decided I didn't like it. I never bothered with the other two.

11.) Do you ever wear a robe?
Only every now and then. I own a giant, blue man-robe. I'm serious. I got it second hand for 50 cents. It's a good 5 times too large for me, has deep pockets and a long sash and I find it very comfortable. Never mind that I look like a biblical character in it.

Now for Rose's questions. This is also the Liebster Award.

1.) An anonymous someone drops a note on your front porch saying that they will fund a trip to either England, an African Safari, Prince Edward Island, or Italy. Which do you choose? Why?
You know what, if I got a note like that left on my porch I might call the cops. Seriously.

But if I knew the benefactor and trusted the benefactor, I'd choose either Italy or England.
Probably Italy.
I love Italian food and culture so much! And the the Catholic in me is dying to see Rome...

2.)You're being forced to re-do your room. What color do you paint it?
Oooh, good question. Color...color...color.......
I love me some color!
Hmmmmm. Probably something creamy and nice. A yellowish color.
A bright and happy color.

This color scheme is very me-ish.

3.)Do you have a particular song that you listen to often, but it never seems to get old? If so, what is it?
Riiiight.
I don't mean to always harp on how much I love Josh Groban but....
I love Josh Groban.
So here. Enjoy!

4.)Would you rather be lounging in the sun on the beach reading a good book or adventuring in the waves?
Adventuring in the waves! I love to swim. And then I'll read in the sun.

5.)You suddenly end up with two twin kittens. One is a girl; one is a boy. What do you name them?
Fitz and Simmons. *Wiggles eyebrows*

6.)You're organizing a get together with friends. Would you choose a picnic or a movie night?
Gosh! Bring on the hard questions next time, why don't you!
Hmmmm. A picnic. When I'm with friends we tend to do a lot of talking and a movie night would probably deteriorate into a all night talking fest anyway. Picnics involve the great out doors and food. Win, win.

7.)What is your pet peeve?
This one just comes from working with the general public a little too much. I hate it when I am sort-of -accidentally eavesdropping on a conversation and I hear a conversation that goes something like this:
"My son just got married."
"Oh, congratulations!"
*Me: smiles like an idiot.*
"Yes...the just bought a puppy. It's so good for their relationship. They're just not ready for children yet."
*Me: narrows eyes*
"Oooh, that's wonderful! And so responsible of them."
"I know. There's no need to rush these things. A puppy is a perfect first step."
*Que me turning red and strongly desiring to hit someone with a bat.*

Just to be clear, I don't mean to eavesdrop. I just work in location where I hear pretty much everything that happens around me. Very annoying.

8.)Is there a new hobby you've been wanting to try out?
Yes and I've been working towards it a lot lately. But I'm not going to tell you what it is.
....Yet.

9.)If you could pick one instrument that you would (without any effort on your part) instantly master, which would you choose?
The Kazoo.
Feel free to laugh. That was a joke.
Though I do want to own a Kazoo.

Really though, if I could just know how to play an instrument it would be either the piano or the guitar. They are both lovely and I could accompany myself singing.

10.)Would you like to be snowed inside for a week?
Sure, that's fun! Especially if the power is down and I have to cook over the fire and light wonderful little lanterns and use the bathroom by candlelight. I really enjoy that.

11.)Pick the closest book to you that you've read. What is your favorite character in the book?
The Last Crescendo. Paul Gray is one of the best literary characters ever. No joke, I LOVE that guy.
I think that's going to be the source of my next book review. Stay tuned.
Get it? The Last Crescendo--Stay tuned?

And last but definitely not least, Ivy Miranda!

1.) If you were on an abandoned island what would be the two things you would bring?
A toothbrush and knife.

2.) Why do you think you deserve this award?
*Gaaah* I don't know! It's definitely not because of my punctual posting skills, that's for sure!
That's like a job interview question. "Why do you think we should hire you. What would YOU bring to this company?"--------------
Fine! Don't hire me!
*Grin*

3.) Do you like pizza? If so what kind of pizza?
Yessssss. Pizza is a circle of happiness.
Give me pretty much any kind of pizza, really. I'm not hugely into just vegetable pizzas, but I like meat and veggies mixed.

4.) What is your drink of choice?
Coffee. *Vibrates*
Yes. Coffee.

5.) What is your favorite animal?
I'm a dog person. Though I'm beginning to think I'd enjoy having a pet hedgehog.

6.) Do you like British television?
Oh I say, rather! What sort of duffer wouldn't like British telly?

7.) What was the last good Disney movie you saw?
I believe it was Frozen. I like it a lot. :) The music was great, the characters where fun...I did find the plot a little plot-holey.  But I think I said that in my last post.

Ta-da! All done.
Now that wasn't so bad was it?
*Passes you a cyber handkerchief* There you go, my dear. You're drooling. Just a little.

Well, I'm feeling rather good about this. *Stretches proudly*

Thank you ladies for the tags! I had a lot of fun with them.

God Bless!

Sunflower Blogger Award

Oh lookie! I've been nominated an award! *Dances left. Dances Right. Pirouettes. Does three jumping-jacks and a lunging stretch. Shuffles back to chair, feeling much better about life in general.*

So, Ivy Miranda nominated me for this really happy-looking award. Thank-ee! It's lovely.

Here are the rules, which I will follow exactly. Except for nominating 11 other bloggers, cause that's just crazy.

1.) Share 11 facts about yourself

2.) Answer the questions set by your nomination blogger.

3.) Nominate 11 bloggers

4.) Set questions for the nominated bloggers.

~Eleven Facts About Me~

1.) I have never been to Czechoslovakia. Odds are good I never will.

2.) I am S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jema Simmons. Yes. I answered all the questions very honestly. I'm just that cool. ;)

If you'd like to take the quiz to see what S.H.I.E.L.D agent you are, it's right here for you.

3.) On a less fantastic note, I am also Spiderman. Yes. Again, I answered all the questions extremely honestly. Which is why I'm Spiderman and not Captain America.

Spider-man has all of the abilities of a spider. He is often scorned by the public, especially J. Jonah Jameson, who happens to be his boss when he is not in costume. However, Spider-man has always used his powers to help others, often giving up his personal happiness for the good of all people.
^ ^ ^
That's me, you guys! Except that I'm a female. I'd be Spiderwoman. ........Well, that's awful.

4.) My favorite sports are baseball, soccer and hockey.  I am not good at any of them.

5.) I am very excited about my bloggy friend, coming to visit/meet the family for the first time at the end of this week. At the end of THIS week!

6.) I don't like to knit or crotchet. It makes me extremely anxious, tight-necked and...and...

7.) I stopped growing at age 13. That was unexpected. I bragged to most of my sisters that I was likely to outgrow them, and here I am; the shortest person in my family, other than the two youngest who are still growing. That'll teach me!

8.) When I was sixteen, I failed to catch a baseball in my mitt, got hit in the eye, and had to visit an eye doctor. Not very Spiderman of me, was it? There was swelling, double vision, and eye drops and warm and cold compresses for a good two weeks. I had a lovely shiner. *Nods proudly.* I was taking a singing class at the time and had to sing solo in front of the whole class with that shiner! Aaaaawkward.

9.) My computer is running low on battery power and I need to speed things up.

10.) If I was born the day after I was born, I'd share Bilbo and Frodo's birthday. Unfortunately, I have always been an impatient sort and I came sooner. I couldn't wait any longer. I was curious. So I was born and stayed awake the whole first night of my life. I don't think I've managed that since.

11.) I finally figured out how to change my ringtone to the Sherlock theme. My life is so complete now. "The game, Mrs Hudson, is on!"

Ivy Miranda's questions:

1.) If you had a chance to live in one country in Europe for one year, what country would it be?
Italy. I would totally go to Italy!

2.) Do you learn from you mistakes or just tend to forget about them?
I learn from them, I think. I certainly don't forget about them! They haunt me. Late at night. In vivid, embarrassing technicolor.

3.) Would you rather live in Middle-Earth, Narnia, Camelot, Panem, or Hogwarts?
Middle-Earth, please!

4.) Vampire, werewolf or neither?
Unless this question includes, "And your hunting weapon of choice," than neither.

5.) What are your favorite children's names?
James, Peter and Christine. I have a whole list, but I doubt anyone wants to hear what I want to name all twelve/thirteen of my fictitious children.

6.) What do you believe was the worst time period in history?
Dang! That's a tough one. There are so many parts of history that I look at and go, "Oh, glad I wan't born in that time frame!"
But since you asked, I'm going to go with the time just before the Flood. I wouldn't want to be in Noah's shoes. Though I'd want to be in his ark.

7.) What is the greatest achievement in society to date?
Sherlock, Season 3.

Right, so I'm going to nominate, *Mrhrhrhrhr*;

And here are my questions to you!

1.) What's your favorite type of dog?

2.) Do you sing along to Doctor Who's theme song?

3.) What does Tahiti make you think of?

4.) How did Moriarty fake his death?

5.) Who's your favorite Superhero.

6.) If you could choose a superhero name, what would you call yourself?

7.) You can travel back in your timeline, and only your timeline. What would you re-visit?

Knock yourselves out, m'dears!

God Bless!

I want to sing and dance....

I'm just going to jump right in.

Song.
9.) A song you can dance to...

I have a confession to make. I don't dance. This is not because I don't like it or because I don't know how, (though I don't really know how) it's because there aren't any young men my age in my town.

That's a slight exaggeration.

There are young men in my town, but either they are not the sort of person a nice young girl like me would want to dance with or I just don't know them.

End of confession.

All that being said, I have occasionally danced to this song. You can swing dance to it. At least I can swing dance to it.

Picture
9.) Someone you love.

It's not an easy thing convincing a loved on to let you take their picture. *Smile*

Plus, I waited till the last possible second and sort of just sprang  out of the darkness with a camera. That's enough to make anyone a little camera shy. I thought if I could just take the picture without her notice, it would be just a nice, natural shot and all that.

But she noticed.

*Throws 'natural shot' out the window.*

"Just sit there like a normal person," I say and hand her a book. "This wont hurt a bit."

And it didn't.

Now I must do a quick tag to enter Bella's really fun giveaway. You should do it too. You could win a really fun fandom pin. I'd very much like to own this one.

Go to here blog HERE for the rules. And tonight's the last night to enter. So, be hasty.

The Incredibly Random Tag

Would you ever play Roller Derby?
Well...no. I think it looks really retarded. Scary, creepy women knocking each other down. Why?

What do you think of Sherlock Season 3?
If I could just watch season three, I'd be more than happy to give an opinion on it! I am ever so ready for the blasted show to come out! And I'm still trying to decide if John with a mustache is a good thing or not.

Merlin or Doctor Who?
Doctor Who. I haven't watched Merlin yet. *Shrugs*

Would you buy a stetson?
Absolutely. Or at least a stetson knock-off. Those things are expensive! And Cool.

What are you more scared of, Spiders or Wasps?
Spiders.

Did you ever like drawing with markers when you were little?
Not really. I didn't like the way the maker leaked through the paper.

Do you think clowns are funny or scary?
I've never thought clowns were funny, but I'm not scared of them either. I find them annoying and occasionally a bit creepy.

Have you ever had acorn squash?
Yes.

Would you ever put highlights in your hair?
Nope. I don't get adventurous with my hair. I am fond of it just the way it is. And I've heard bad stories of highlights going wrong...*shudders*

Do you like taking pictures?
Yeah, it's fun. It's not a big hobby or anything. It's more a on again/ off again sort of interest.

That's it!

God Bless~

In which I do some catching up

I have been tagged a few times in the last couple of weeks and I'm finally pulling it together and doing them. :)

I'll start with the "Getting to know you" tag from Miss Melody Muffin. I have to say, I love the questions on this one. It's gonna be fun!

The rules from last to first...just because I want to mix it up a little. *Grin*

3.) Tag 5-10 People and let them know you tagged them.
2.) The tagged people have to mention who it was that tagged them
1.) And Answer the Questions!

Thank you Melody! I really love getting tagged. :)

1. Coffee or Tea?
I'm a coffee sort of girl. Drink ALL the coffee!!! Becausedrinkingallthecoffeeaddssomuchawesomnesstolife!

2. You win a thousand dollars! What would be something fun that you do with it?
I think I'd like to buy a bell for my Church. Except I think bells are more expensive than a thousand dollars. And my parish does not yet own it's own building...we rent a place. But! I'd still like to buy a bell.

3. You're given the opportunity for the lead part in a play. Would you take it?
Is it a musical? YES PLEASE! :) Well, even if it wasn't a musical I'd probably still take it.

4. Would you rather sing, play an instrument or listen?
I do all three, actually, but I'd like to sing the best. Like, when I see musicals or stage performances of anything, I never think to myself, "Hey, I'd really love to be first flute in that orchestra!"...Yeah. No.
I'm like, "I want to be the lead singer, thanks very much!" lol.

5. Are you more of a chit-chat person? Or sporty?
I'm kinda a sporty girl. But I don't play any sports. *Nods* It's true! I just prefer to be outside and doing stuff. If I can be outside doing stuff with my sisters or friends and we're all chatty then I like that too. I like to chat while I sport.
I do.
I sing and play badminton at the same time all the time!  But I ramble...

6. Did you ever have an unrealistic dream as a child? If so, what was it?
I was a day-dreamer and always in my own little world. I used to wish I could get myself into some sort of an adventure...
But strangely enough, I don't think I really did have any unrealistic dreams. *Sniffle* That makes me sounds so boring! lol. I've always wanted to be a wife and mother, even when I was really little.
Oh! I guess I've always wanted to be a famous singer. (Since about 13, really.) Does that count as unrealistic  (If you say yes, you've never heard me sing. LOL! I do but jest.)

7. Have you fulfilled any of the dreams you had as a child? If so, what were they?
Well, I'm not married yet! Hehehe. And I'm still not a famous singer. So...Nope.

8. What's the one place in the world that you've always wanted to visit?
Italy has always been on the top of my list of places to visit. But if I'm being honest, I'd just like to do one of those Grand Tours they did during the 1800's. Now your talking!

9. What book character do you always find yourself imitating?
When I was younger, I liked to imitate Lark from the book "Lark." (Which, by the way, I want to do a book review on. :) She is still one of my favorite heroines  and I still rather fancy that I still act like her.

10. What's your favorite season? Why?
Honestly, I'm really adaptable season wise. I love the change of the seasons and really do enjoy all of them. Now, that being said, winter isn't at the top of the list of favorite seasons. I think summer are tied in their awesomeness and autumn is so beautiful...

11. What are some of your favorite blogs to read?
I have quite a nice list of blogs that I enjoy.
I love Jack's blog, it's really fun. :)
All of my sisters blogs are pretty fun.
I love both Natasha's blog and Kellie's blog. So sweet!
Elizabeth has a really pretty blog and I enjoy her posts a lot.
Heck, just take a look at my side bar! They're all there.

12. How long have you been blogging?
I think it's been a little over two years. To be honest, it took me the first year to just get mildly comfortable with the fact that I had a blog!

I think I'm going to not tag anyone on this tag. Just because everyone I know has already done it. So I guess it ends here.

Right. On to Bella's tag. This one is that eleven facts tag that seems to never stop going around! But that's okay.

Here I go.

Rules:
- If you are tagged/nominated, you must post eleven facts about yourself.
- Then, you must answer the eleven questions the tagger has given you and make eleven questions for the people you are going to tag.
- Next, tag eleven more bloggers. (Seriously, that's never going to happen, but whatever.)
- Tell the people you tagged that you have tagged them.
- No tagging back.

Facts.

1.) I am trying to grow a vegetable garden this year. There weather has not been much in my favor so far!
2.) I'm listening to the Phantom of the Opera right now. --"A toad, Madam? Perhaps it is you who are the Toad!"..."Croak!" ......"A-hahahaha! AAAA-Hahahahaha! Behold! She is singing to bring down the Chandelier! Aaaaaa-Hahahah!"
3.) I can whistle on my hands. And now you too can learn how to do this. Impress your friends later. Your welcome.

4.) I don't much care for chewing gum.
5.) I like the feeling of sneezing.
6.) I really love chocolate covered, frozen bananas. Recipe here. Even if you don't care for banana's you should try these. They are very yummy.
7.) I can touch all of my fingers to my wrist. It's very cool.
8.) I watched 'The Life of Pi" a few days ago and was bitterly disappointed in it. The survival story was awesome. The rest of the story was rubbish. And the zebra died.
9.) When I laugh hard, tears pour from my eyes. It's a bit annoying when I happen to be wearing make-up.
10.) I talk to  myself when I'm happy.
11.) I want to watch a Psych tonight.

*Whew!*

1. What was the most recent movie you've seen and what did you think of it?
Actually, I think it was Life of Pi. And I thought it was rubbish! As I said above, I loved the survival story that went on, but the theme was absolutely wishy-washy. And weird. And I hated grown-up Pi. How such a brave and resourceful young man could turn into such a fop as an older guy I have no idea.

2. Would you rather live on the beach or in the mountains?

I'm totally a mountain girl.

3. What's your favorite Disney Princess and why?

Oh, probably Rapunzel or Bell. They're both spunky and interesting. :)

4. What's your favorite book? (Or, if you can't decide, what are your three top favorite books?)

I refuse to answer this question!

5. Would you rather live in Narnia, Middle-Earth, or 1860's England?
Middle-Earth. The Shire please. Their gardens seem to do rather well. Or Rohan, because they are so cool.

6. Who is your favorite movie or book character?
I'm going to go with movie character and It's James J. Bradock from the Cinderella Man. He is such the best! *Gaaaaah!*

7. Have you ever heard of Focus on the Family's Father Gilbert Mysteries? If so, what do you think of them?

Er. Nope!

8. If you could pick anywhere in the world, where would you want to live when you get married?

I don't know. I love where I live now, but I'd also like to own a couple acres of land, and that doesn't really happen in this town. I'm gonna let God pick. :P

9. What's your favorite musical?
The Phantom of the Opera.

10. Cake or ice cream?
Ice Cream?

11. How many times have you been to Disney World?
I have never been to Disney world or Disney land. Sad story, isn't it?

My turn!

I am going to nominate:

And since I don't feel like making up new questions, I'm going to do the 11 I made up the last time this went around. *Smirk*

1.) Would you rather have a talking cat or be able to speak dog?

2.) Are you a sucker for period drama or action/adventure films?

3.) Do you like to wear makeup?

4.) Do you prefer tall guys or short guys?

5.) Have you ever eaten shwarma?

6.) Would you rather be a spy during WWII or the American Revolution?

7.) Are you the sort of person that prefers long hikes up in the mountains, or a dress-up tea party with some of your friends?

8.) If you had to choose one person from a TV show to go on a date with, who would it be? It HAS to be a TV show character and yes, you HAVE to pretend you'd get the chance to go on a date. *Smirk*

9.) Would you rather live in the city or out in the country?

10.) Would you rather sing in front of a large audience, or give a speech?

11.) Would you rather take a dance class or learn how to fence?

So there you have it, my friends. *Wipes brow wearily.*  Now I must go and drink some tea. And watch a Psych. 'Heeeeere's Lassie"...Perhaps.

God Bless!

Tag of awesomeness.

Wheeee! I was tagged! How fun is that? It's very fun. For me at least. *Grin*

Alrighty. We have a few rules here.

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their site.
2. Post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer 11 questions from the person who tagged you.
4. Ask the people you tag 11 questions.
5. Nominate 11 other blogs.

Thank you Jack! I'm excited for this tag...I really like your questions, so yay! :)

Eleven Random Things About Myself.

1.) I like to paint my nails red on occasion. I'm thinking about doing it today, actually.

2.) I love the movie "Moon-Spinners" with Hayley Mills. It's one of my favorite Disney movies. It may or may not have something to do with this fellow.
My sisters insist that he is scrawny. I disagree. I prefer the term 'lean.'

3.) I know a guy (Ex-Marine and my sister's Bagpipe teacher) who has offered to teach me to shoot. I'm thinking I just might take him up on the offer. :P

4.) I finished 'The Queen of Attolia' and Gen has offically been upgraded to hero. All the way. Also, I've decided that Jamie Bell would make the perfect Gen.
That just makes me love him more--Gen I mean. ;)

5.) I drink my coffee black.

6.) I remind my family of Sid from Ice Age sometimes. *Cringe* For the most part I disagree with this. Except that line, "You know me, I'm too lazy to hold a grudge." That is pretty much me.

7.) I have recently taken an interest in film photography! I might have to try this challenge.

8.) I live (and grew up) and a ski town, but I have never skied.

9.) Whenever I am freak out about something and I need to make myself feel better, I listen to the 'Hogan's Heroes' song. Silly, yes, but it always makes me feel better. And the last verse is awesome.
"Never flinch, boys, never be afraid,
Heroes are not born, boys, heroes all are made.
Ask not why, boys, never say die, boys,
Answer the call, remember we'll all be heroes forever more."

10.) I am pretty indecisive.
This. Is. Me.

11.) I really love this music video. I think  40% is actually for the song and 60% is for the clothes and setting. Most of the clothes she wears in this are lovely and sort of my favorite dress-style. Plus, the cafe looks like a wonderful little place! And now I want coffee. And a date.

Jack's Questions

1. The Doctor shows up and asks you to be his companion at the same time Sherlock asks you to be his blogger. Who'd you pick?
I'd probably travel with the Doctor...but I'd like to have a few of my sisters travel with me. ;) I love Sherlock and all, but if I became his blogger, what happens to John?

2. In the great Clara debate, who do YOU think she is. (And if you don't know who Clara is...I've two words for you. No, three. Watch Doctor Who.)
I haven't seen enough of Clara to have any theories on this yet. I've only seen her in 'the Asylum of the Daleks'...

3. You're falling off a building, which Avenger do you want to save you?
Hardest. Question. Ever.
Well. Not the Hulk. I saw how he caught Iron Man and that didn't look all that safe or gentle. Plus, he's green.
I think I'd want Captain America to save me. But I'd be pretty okay with Hawkeye, too.

4. Would you go for a ride in a cold, hot air balloon?
Absolutely yes. That sounds like SO MUCH FUN!

5. Does your wardrobe lead to Narnia?
No, but there may be a football field in the bathroom cupboard. *Smirk*

6. You meet an Alien who is about to kill you. Do you offer him a Jelly Baby or run?
Run. That seems to be the Doctor's advice too.

7. If your best friend faked his death to save your life, then popped up a year later to inform you he was still alive, would you faint or punch him?
I have never fainted in my life. I sort of want to--just to see what if feels like. But I think it's more likely that I'd punch him rather than faint. I'd punch him and then brake down into a sobbing mess.

8. Buttered popcorn or plain?
"Butter, Chuffy!" (Brownie points if you can name that quote!)

9. Have you ever had a flip phone in your position and wished to yell, "Beam me up, Scotty!" into it?
Not a flip phone. My Daddy actually owns one of the communicators. It was a Christmas Pressy. But I don't think I've ever yelled that into it. Shocking, isn't it. *Note to self; Play with communicator.*

10. What is your favouritest book?
This question is totally impossible. But right now I'm pretty infatuated with the whole Attolia series. I don't have a whole lot of fictional crushes. But I have added Gen to my little list.

11. It is raining, do you go for a walk in it or sit by the fire with hot chocolate and a good book?
If it's a winter-y, cold rain, hot chocolate and good book all the way. But if it's a warm rain, I'll probably take a walk in it.

My Questions.
Here's the thing. Quite a few of my sisters have blogs and since we have very similar taste in pretty much everything, the blogs that I follow, they follow. And as such, I have no one left to nominate. *Shrugs*
But, but, but! If you'd like to do the tag please do! I'm going to ask some questions and I'd love to hear some of your guy's answers. So if you decided to grab this tag, let me know and I can see what you have to say. Please. :)

And there we have it. Thanks again, Jack. That was a super fun tag.

If any of you decide to do the tag, please leave me a link in to comment section so I can read it. Or, if you just don't have a blog, you can answer the questions in the comment section. Whatever you want to do! Just have fun with it, k?

God Bless!

Tagged!

Every now and then I re-read some Winnie the Pooh quotes and remember all the reasons why I love Pooh so much. A.A. Milne was such an under-rated author. He wrote some brilliant stuff...

“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”

“Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
“We'll be Friends Forever, won't we, Pooh?' asked Piglet.
Even longer,' Pooh answered.”

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

“One of the advantages of being disorganized is that one is always having surprising discoveries.”

“It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately.”
A.A. Milne--Winnie the Pooh.

Anyway, moving on. I've been tagged by Treskie at Occasional Randomness. Thank you, Treskie. :D

*Include the award logo on your blog.
*Answer the ten questions posted below.
*Make up your own ten questions for the next people.
*Nominate blogs and link those you have especially enjoyed reading. The number you can select is up to you.
*Notify each individual that you have nominated them

Now for the fun stuff.

1.) Do you like waffles?
Occasionally I enjoy having waffles, but they're not my favorite. I prefer French toast...with strawberries.

2.) What does, "DoooWEEEEEOOOOOO!" mean to you?
It makes me think of a mad man with a blue box.

3.) How tall are you?
I am 5' even. And quite proud of it!

4.) On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the greatest, how much do you need coffee?
Probably a six. I can live without the stuff, but I really don't like to.

5.) Would you like a Hiddleston hug?
Defo. Bring it on! :D  Come on...He's awesome.
6.) On an average, how many books do you read a year?
That's a hard one. You see, I tend to read in spurts. I'll have a month or two where I read something crazy like 5-8 books, but then I'll go a month or two without even picking up a book. It's strange, no? I do that with art and beading, too. *Shrugs* But back to the question...er, let's go with  20-ish books a year? How pathetic does that sound!

7.)Who's your favorite musical artist?
Aaaauugh! That's an impossible question! I'd have to break it into categories or something. I love so many different kinds of music...
Josh Groban is my go-to artist. I love all his music and I think he's probably my favorite.
But that being said, I am also on a Mumford and Sons kick right now. (Minus two songs which are a bit on the naughty side.)
Then we slide into the world of musicals and, and, and.....*Sigh*
So much music!

8.) How do you feel about black and white movies?
I love them. I grew up watching tons of the classics and for the better part of my life was more familiar with movie stars like Bob Hope, Ginger Rodgers, Cary Grant, Doris Day and Jimmy Stuart than with any of the modern stars. :D

9.) Favorite type of food? (Italian, American, Chinese..?)
Hmmm...I love ALL THE FOOD! But for the sake of the question, I'll go with Italian.

10.) Can you count to five?....In Swahili?
Moja, mbili, tatu, nne, tano!!!!
So there! *Thank you google translate. You are ever so useful.*

Alright, now for my questions.

1.) Rain or Snow?
2.) If your friend asked you to go bungee jumping with them, would you?
3.) If you were a criminal, what sort of criminal would you be the most likey to be? (Thief? Con-man?)
4.) Airplane or train?
5.) Have you ever broken a limb?
6.) Where you a tomboy or more of a girly-girl?
7.) If you had to pick your weapon of choice, would it be a sword, bow and arrows, or daggers?
8.) Do you prefer long hair or short?
9.) Do you have a historical hero? If so, who? If not, why NOT!!??
10.) What's your favorite time-frame in history?

I'm going to tag:
Elizabeth
Natasha Marieh
Anna Grace
Kimberly

Have fun! And thanks, Treskie, for the tag.

*Pssst* I've finally got an 'About Me' section on my blog. *Pats self on back.* I have a really hard time writing about me...so I put if off for quite a long time. But I finally got around to it. :)

God Bless,
Amy
