One of those random posts.

I am reading a book called, "The Prisoner of Cell 25" and I am rather disappointed with it. The idea is brilliant, but I don't care for the characters very much and it's dragging right in the middle.
I might not finish it. I think the most important thing about any story is whether the characters are good or not. If I love the characters, even if the story is lame, I will still finish it. But if I don't like the characters, no mater how awesome the plot is, I get bored.

I made tons of cookies last weekend and my sisters and I had fun decorating them. I love sugar cookies but I don't make them very often because most recipes need the dough to chill for at least an hour and I'm the sort of person that hates to wait for my cookie dough to chill. :D But I bit the bullet and did it.
They were very yummy.

I used this recipe for the cookies.
And this one for the frosting.

I am really adicted to the TV show, "White Collar" right now.

Peter Burke is the best.

(I feel the need to mention that this show is usually very clean, but every now and then they through in some innuendo and not-so-good-stuff so just be cautions if you decide to watch them.)

I found this video pretty cool.

I've loved the idea of hairstick-daggers for quite a long time but I don't think people actually make them. I wonder why that is?
This isn't a hairstick but it is a dagger. How cool is that? I don't usually wear barrettes, but I'd make an exception for this. You can buy it HERE. It's lovely.

Isn't this song just beautiful?

God Bless!
Amy

  1. I agree with you on books. If I love the characters I can finish the book even if I'm not crazy about the plot. If the characters are crummy or not believable I cannot endure the book. (This is how I felt about Ranger's Apprentice. I am not overly fond of the writing style but I love the characters so I read all the books)

Every now and then we must do something complete insane and out of the normal. (Acting, dancing with people we don't know.) Then, if ever the time comes to fight trolls we shan't be as frightened.

  2. I feel the same way about the Rangers Apprentice books. I loved all the fighting bits and the characters but the writing wasn't fantastic.
That's a very good point with the trolls. I feel that shy people get so many more opportunities to be brave than other people!

I know, Mahri! It's such a lovely wee dagger, isn't it? *Sigh* Alas, it is also a bit steep in price...

  3. Sorry about your book :-/

White Collar is pretty good, its just not Doctor Who *grin* Neil is quite charming and Peter is Great.

Cool Dagger!! Its a hairclip that looks like a dagger! You can't get more cool than that :)

  4. Too bad about the book. It looked so good, too!

Hurray for Peter! Hopefully, Season Three will pick up. Episode Two was dreadfully disappointing, wasn't it?

  6. Yeah, Bella, I've been having a lot of trouble finding a good book to read. *Sniff* I shall just have to write my own!

Cat, I know! The first two seasons of White Collar were so GOOD. Season three has been bugging me. Yes, hopefully it will settle back down into awesome.
