Saturday Style...among other things

Happy Saturday, all you all!

Oh, and hello, my newest followers and welcome. I am so happy to have you! If you weren't an internet away I'd offer you coffee and chocolate...but since you are, we'll just have to pretend.

I went all-out and did a cappuccino. *Smile*

So... I was going to do a movie review.

And then I considered doing a book review.

But I just wasn't up to either of those things and I decided to do a picture-inundated post instead.

Give me some slack, I was busy cleaning and reading! It's Saturday. ;)

Saturday Style

I wore my hair 'Heidi style' today. I don't do it very often, and I'm not sure why. It's comfortable, and cute. Even if I do say so myself! Lol.

I didn't bother doing a tutorial for this one. It's pretty simple. Just put your hair in two braids and, if you're hair is long enough, wrap each braid all the way around your head and pin in place. If your hair is shorter, just wrap the braids over the top of your head. Add flowers if you want to. Flowers are the best hair accessory! I love flowers.

Speaking of flowers...
It is officially SPRING now.

The weather has been so beautiful here this last week. I love being able to throw open the windows  and have that wonderfully clean air come pouring in!

After all my cleaning, I had a little tea party outside.

I got a Easter package in the mail from my best friend.

Isn't that scarf lovely? I can't wait to wear it. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the necklace is a wonderfully dark blue. Blue and orange really compliment each other. And I now have a perfect little book-box. It was a very nice pressy, don't you think? It certainly made my day.

That's it for now, but I do have some fun post planned for next week and I will hopefully produce something a little more substantial. But for now I'll just leave you with a song.

Check it out...there is water on the stage. How cool is that?

God Bless!
Amy

  2. Your hair looks so cute like that! Aren't you excited for the spring weather?? It's been beautiful here too. Ooh packages in the mail from friends are so much fun. Love the necklace and the pretty scarf! And thanks for sharing that song.... wow. That would be neat to see in person with all that water on the stage.

  4. First, I love the new background and header.

Second, I've always loved that hair style but never was able to master it. My hair refuses to be tamed and does whatever it pleases, laughing at my attempts to style it.

Third, my brother found that little girl on youtube and told me to listen. She's so talented and has such a lovely voice!

Oh yes...and...watch out! I am going to invade! You have spring and I'm stuck in winter. Now that I know where spring is I'm coming! (I've a bad case of cabin fever.)

Watching all of Jamie Bell's parts from King Kong on youtube is completely reasonable. (He's brilliant and one of the best actors I've ever seen. And he's Tintin. So he gets extra points.)

Oh oh oh oh!!! YES!!!! The new Captain America movie!!! I'm DYING to see it...I heard they are somehow bringing Bucky back. And I want to know how, and how Rodgers will handle it.
Also, the third Iron Man. I've not said a whole lot on the movie but I finally say the preview and I've been in a state of shock ever since which is slowly wearing off. Very soon I shall be bounding about the house squealing from excitement. It looks SOOO good.

And aye, I do like Iron Man. I loved the first one and had to beg and plead with my friend for her to see it - which she ended up liking as well.
I know Tony is spoiled and can be a snob and a prat - hehe - and sometimes annoying, but I really like him. I like how he has changed over the movies and how he's now concerned for his friends. he still tries to hide it, but when it really matters he never hesitates to show it - such as when he risked his life to keep New York from being blown up.
I like all the Avengers characters, even more so since they aren't all alike. They have very cool personalities. And it is fun to watch their characters grow.
Oh dear...now I want to watch The Avengers again. I shall have to commandeer my brother's copy.

  5. The scarf is fabulous. :D Thank you.

Awe, thank you, Elizabeth. And Yeah, I am SO excited for spring!
I can't even imagine how fun it would be to perform on a stag like that! It would be awesome!

Thanks, Marhi. I've been trying to take better pictures lately. It's fun. :)

    Hi, Jack.
I'm glad you like the new header. Honestly, if feels a bit more me.:)

Please, please DO invade! I love a good invasion now and then. :) Be warned, after I posted about how beautiful the weather was, we got snow. BUT it is warming back up again and the warm weather should be back full-force by the weekend. I feel I should go hiking or something. "I am going on an Adventure!!!" lol.

    Thank you all for commenting!

    Cheers!
