I start the week with such good intentions--at least two posts a week. That's do-able, right?
Perhaps...
But sometimes it just doesn't happen. :)
Like when I get hired very unexpectedly and almost instantaneously at a very lovely little florist shop. Which really is awesome, but also very scary/stressful because I freak-out very easily and I now have to learn a whole new job! *Shu-reeek!*
Or when the weather is so lovely outside that my free-time is spent lounging in the sun or practicing different sports with my sisters.
Thus, I find myself once again already at Saturday.
But hey. It is my blog and I suppose as longs as I'm happy with it, everything's fine...right? :)
Anyway, on to the good stuff.
Today's style is nice and easy. I just tied a scarf around my head like a headband and left well-enough alone.
Orange and blue is such a nice collar combination.

Questions...
1.)What are some of your tips for the background of blogs? Layout, colors, etc.?
I suggest going with a color that sort of feels you. Make sure to keep things fairly easy to find and don't write in a hard to read font. As tempting as that may be. ;)
2.)What are your favorite blog topics to write about? Book reviews, baking, everyday life, sewing, etc.?
3.)What are some of your favorite blog topics to read?
4.)What is your biggest blogging tip for newbies?
5.) Why did you start blogging?
2.)What are your favorite blog topics to write about? Book reviews, baking, everyday life, sewing, etc.?
Yeah...In case you haven't noticed, I'm sort of all over the place. I guess I am mostly an 'everyday life' sort of blogger. That and whatever I happen to be really into at the time.
3.)What are some of your favorite blog topics to read?
Hmmm. I'm not sure. I read a lot of kinds different blogs. I just like it when the writer has found their little niche and are enjoying themselves. It makes it fun to read.
4.)What is your biggest blogging tip for newbies?
Try to post regularly. (Says the girl who is still trying to master that one!:) I think if you work on your blog once or twice a week, you'll notice that you get more comfortable with writing posts and people with follow you more.
5.) Why did you start blogging?
I wanted a reason to make myself write a bit more. One of my sisters had a blog and it seemed like a good way to keep motivated with different things and practice writing at the same time.
I nominate:
Things that have made my week fun.
It really does't take a whole lot to entertain me. I found this Orange Chocolate at the store and had way more fun opening it than is probably normal. I mean, how many people photograph their chocolate because they think it's so cool?
I have this strange fascination with the German language. I don't remember when exactly this started, but I've dabbled here and there with trying to learn some German...and mostly failed at it. :D
Anyway, a while ago, my sister found this book for me called, 'German in 10 minutes a day.' It's a pretty cool book and I finally took it out and started doing some of the lessons.
This book as label stickers. *Pause for a moment.*
You can LABEL things with their German word! Now that is sheer brilliance, my friends.
I love stickers.
My little sister has gotten me started on Once Upon a Time and I'm really enjoying it. There is one thing that totally bothers me, but I'm not going to go into that right now. lol. Let's just say, Snow and Charming are a really cute couple, and their relationship should not have been mucked with. Other than that, it's really fun.
This has sort of been my song for this week. :)

But come on! It actually looks like an orange!

My house is now proudly labeled. *Smirk*

God Bless!

Cute style!
ReplyDeleteLovely award! (I got it too. I just haz not posted it yet.)
Yummy orange!
ONCE UPON A TIME! (Yes, that is the ONE THING that bothers me most about Once Upon a Time... that, and the fact that they didn't take the time to at least make the Fairy Tale language a little bit more old-fashioned. C'mon. Joss Whedon managed it for The Avengers' Thor! Fairy Tale characters could have handled it for a couple scenes.)
German is supposedly a hard language to learn. I wouldn't know because I live in germany;) but I wish you success in learning it! How about you try posting some things in German! That would be fun! Well, for me it would becaus I understand it- not so much for anyone else... ;) o whatever! Just random thoughts... Deine Hannah
ReplyDeleteOooooh Pandi, I so love the scarf and earring set! It's so pretty and so YOU! The chocolate looks delightfully enticing and yes....how clever and cool is THAT??? Gina
ReplyDeleteHi Amy! I've been reading your blog for a few weeks and finally made it around to commenting.
ReplyDeleteA job at a florist shop sounds fun. How is it going so far?
German is on my list of 'Languages to Learn Someday'. I can read a very little bit of it, and sooooomeday I'll actually crack our German book again.
I've heard a lot about Once Upon a Time but I haven't tried to watch it yet.
I LOVE Blackmore's Night!!!! (I'm actually listening to a playlist of theirs right now.) My favorite two songs of theirs are Olde Village Lanterne and March The Heroes Home.
Amy, I tagged you here: http://thesplendorfalls.blogspot.com/2013/05/tags-part-one.html
Hey! I awarded you over at my blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments. :D
ReplyDeleteKit, I do LOVE the Beauty and the Beast story...it's my fav. The others are pretty good, but that's the one that keeps me going. :D Why isn't there more of it?
Hello, Hannah. I rather fancy it will be some time before I feel brave enough to post anything besides random phrases in German. But when I do, having feed-back as to what's correct and not would be cool. :D
Thank you, Gina. I love that scarf. It's so fun to wear.
Hey, Melody!
The job is going pretty well, actually. I just get so nervous having to learn new stuff. And I have had to answer phones a lot for practice and that's really not my thing. Otherwise, it's been better than I thought it would be.
Once Upon a time is fun...just don't have too high of expectations for it. And watch a lot of them at once. :) Oh...and ignore a plot angle with Snow white and Prince Charming. You'll know it when you get there. It's really annoying and goes of for three or four episodes I think. But it gets cleared up later. Seriously, though. I mainly watch it for Rumpelstiltskin.
All you who tagged me, thanks and I will get to those as soon as I can!
Cheers!
RUMPLESTILSKIN!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEhem
I love your gifs :) Do you think my blog is too loud now? I think it may be a bit loud. What do you say??
ah whateve, the circle is done now. I will say I like Charming better than david though. And, weirdly enought, I like Mary Margaret better than Snow. Mr. Gold? I just love him no matter which world he's in. I think I'm hero-worshipping a villain. Or a used-to-be villain. Just what IS he exactly??
Prost! Mate
