Rock Climbing--I've been told it's dangerous... (Alright. It is)

Hello. I'm sorry I've been away for so long! I did want to post sooner, but I was on a trip visiting my best friend and I had no internet. So...Now I get to tell you about my very exciting experience I had a few weeks ago. I went Rock Climbing, people! It was really awesome.
I was super nervous about the class. I had signed up kinda as a list minute thing because my singing class was canceled and I needed to do something to make myself feel better.
By the time I went to the first lecture, I was sincerely wishing I hadn't. LOL. It was scary. And the class was all men. Okay, to be fair, there was one other girl besides me. Still. The fist class had me pretty freaked out. I was sort of wishing that the class would cancel...
But then we went climbing. And I loved it.
It started off nice and easy. we did small climbs and literally learned the ropes. I really enjoyed wearing the cool harness and tying knots. Everything started Then we finished lunch and moved on. To a 90 ft cliff. "We are going to rappel down this now," said the teacher. Have you ever looked down a 90ft cliff? It's a very long way down! This is the wall.

Well, the first few steps were the scariest. Getting over the side is hard and defies all your instincts. About halfway down, though, I began to relax and enjoy the feeling of 'walking' down the cliff. It's pretty awesome.

After we rappeled down, we got to practice climbing back up. It was hard. I didn't make it all the way back to the top (Let me point out that this 90ft wall was the very fist day ever of my climbing experience. :-) I think I climbed up about 80ft.

The next day was all about climbing. There were five different climbs set up. And I'm very proud to say I made it to the top of all of them. On my first tries. That's a pretty big deal for me.

It was only a three day class-one lecture, two days of climbing- and
by the time it was over I decided that Rock Climbing is pretty fantastic. Not that I would ever want to do crazy climbing, mind you, but the little stuff is fun. God Bless!

Oh and this movie looks fun. I'm sorry for the lousy quality...the sound is seriously off. But it looks fun anyway. (Plus, it's a very young Sean Astin! Whee!)
