That sort of day.

It's the sort of day where spring fever begins to sneak in.

Where the sun is so delightfully warm and the sky so strikingly blue that it gets under you skin and makes you want to burst into song.

It's the type of day where all that clutter that's been gradually pilling up around the house is finally cleared off and put away.

Spring cleaning, people. It's satisfying. :)

It's the sort of day where the birds and squirrels seem happy to be alive and you can smell the earth warming up.

The type of day that isn't rushed and makes you feel content---and a little bit crafty. Because, after all, Easter isn't that far away.

All that being said, I am not a fan of daylight savings time. Sure, it's nice to have the added light in the evening, but it's hard for me to adjust to this one.

I find myself wide away in the middle of the night and then it's suddenly morning... before it should be. *Sigh*

Yep.

Just when my mornings had finally gotten nice and bright. *Snark.*

What about you all? Do you find daylight savings time a good thing? Or an unspeakable evil.

Remember, it's for posterity, so be honest.  :D

And now, a song.

God Bless!
Amy

  4. I like the brightness of this Daylight savings...but I don't like that I loose an hour of sleep that one night and then have to adjust. And I don't like the first week after when I go about thinking, "Oh, it is only four." when it is really five. So, I wish I could have the brightness, but with the extra hour of sleep.

Aw, I wish I had some of the spring here. I want to sit out in the sun and read. *Grin*

  5. Oh, I can't stand being robbed of an hour. I know it's for the greater good and all, but BOY does it get under my skin. And not in a good way.

I really love Spring cleaning, though. Everything is freed of its dust and all the doors are wide open to allow the chill, watery-sunlit air into the house. And as it flushes the rooms of winter darkness, it smells so sweet! Beautiful. (:

  6. Marhi and Treskie...I'm glad you seem to feel as strongly about daylight savings time as I do. :P

Ooooh, you live in Germany, Hannah? That's so cool! (Er...is it cool?:)
I've always thought that Germany would be a cool place to visit. So, how much German can yo speak?

Same here, Jack. I really do enjoy my longer evenings, but mornings are pretty brutal. :)

Reading in the sun is the best! I love it. In fact, I get so desperate to do so that I will sit in the front seat of the car so that I get the warmth of the sun without the wind and wet... In the early spring, obviously. Once things dry out a bit, I like to lay out in the grass. I don't care if it's green or not. Just as long as it's dry.

    Cheers!

  9. I would love to have a Redwall feast as well! (Oh, we should meet up and make one. We could have a Redwall party, if only we can figure out how to make English toast...)

I shall put you in between Watson and Howl. That way you can keep an eye on Howl and make sure he doesn't get into trouble...though by the end of it you might be engaged to him as he seems to have that effect on girls...

  10. Hmmm...being engaged to Howl. I think I'm okay with that! lol.
